Pump-on-a-chip (Nanopump)
Osmotex has developed a range of micropumps which are integrated on the chip-level, inside channels the size of a human hair. The pumps are produced using standard microfabrication and can be electronically controlled as addressable elements. They are operated by low voltage AC or DC signals, and provide bubble free pumping of a wide range of liquids (including dilute PBS buffer, 280mM mannitol, pure and aqueous mixtures of methanol, ethanol and ethylene glycol).
The Osmotex on-chip technology enables more complex lab-chips, as well as miniature and disposable fuel cells.
